Entergy Texas offers an incentive to builders in its service territory for the construction of Energy Star certified homes. The efficiency requirements can be met through a combination of insulation measures, efficient windows, air sealing, efficient HVAC equipment, duct sealing, etc. Builders receive $200 for each Energy Star Certified home, plus an additional $100 if the home also includes the Advanced Lighting Package (ALP). Rebate payments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis for homes that have submitted the application and proper documentation to the utility.
Homes must be Energy Star certified, 85 or lower HERS index, and at least 15% more efficient than the International Residential Conservation Code (IECC) 2004.
